Professor Basheka previously represented the African Continent on CIPS governance for 3 years. Professor has previously been an Adjunct professor of Political Science and Public Administration at the in China.  He was a visiting professor for the Tuffloap Graduate School of leadership at the University of Limpompo in South Africa. Professor Basheka is a visiting research fellow at the School of Governance, Public Management and Policy at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He has also worked as a focal contact person for CLEAR and a member of the task team for the development of the African Masters in Monitoring and Evaluation. Recently, he was nominated as an Extra-Ordinary Professor for the NWS business School in South Africa. Basheka has externally examined more than 50 doctoral dissertations for graduate programmes across many countries. He has been a reviewer and assessor of many promotions for Associate and full professor positions. He is also a member of several editorial boards for a number of internationally accredited journals.
